Lilia

The most recent short film I created was a collaboration between students from Willem de Kooning Academy and Erasmus University. I had the pleasure of writing and directing, as well as playing a role in the film. My goal with this project was to explore filmmaking in front and behind the cameras, to learn more about how to direct actors, and to feel their experience.

Lilia is a 20-year-old Brazilian girl. She moves to Rotterdam and feels lost in this new life. By discovering the city and people, she doesn’t find any specific conclusion, despite that she is no longer who she used to be, and is far from being who she wants to become.
